What is your name?

Colin Roy

What is your position? Tell us in a couple of sentences what you do at IMG.

I am a Marketing Coordinator here at IMG. For the most part I do social media, Ads, newsletters and email campaigns for my clients with a bit of other stuff thrown in here and there.

What are some of your interests and hobbies outside of IMG?

My favorite hobby is playing the guitar. I picked it up a few years ago on a whim but it’s turned into one of my biggest passions. The best part about it is that it’s something that you can constantly improve at. There’s no ceiling and there are so many different styles to learn so there’s always room to grow. Aside from that I enjoy skiing, playing basketball and going to see live music.

What does a typical day look like for you and what projects are you currently working on?

I think the best part of this job is that no day is typical really. Each client is so unique and there are so many different things we do for them that it always stays fresh. Before I leave work each day I take a look at what I need to accomplish the next day and create a list to work off of. Usually that includes researching different aspects of each client’s, creating social media posts and drafting newsletters and Ads for them.

Why do you love IMG?

IMG has an awesome culture where everyone is willing to help each other. From the Founders to the interns everyone has their own strengths and are willing to help each other. There really is a team mentality and we all share a common goal of helping our clients and continuing IMG’s development and growth as  a company.

If you were to get rid of one state in the U.S., which would it be and why?

No offense to anyone from Connecticut but you’re out of here. I actually really like the state and I’ve enjoyed being there but I absolutely hate the traffic on 95 when I’m cutting through. Plus, I feel like it’s not fully committed to being a New England state because it’s so close to New York. The sports loyalties are split and that’s unacceptable. You’re either with us or against us….Go Pats!
